We are Finabode - an integrated design and construction team building and restoring homes across Sydney's lower north shore, harbour and eastern suburbs.
We specialise in whole-home renovation, heritage restoration and new builds. We take on six homes a year, and one company holds the project from the first drawing to the day you move in.

Whichever of the three below your project is, the method is the same: we resolve the design before the building starts, and we hold every stage after it. There is no second company to coordinate with, and no gap between the drawings and the build for the work to fall into.

Ground up, on sites where the constraints are as demanding as the brief.
A new home on a Sydney site is a long project with a very large number of decisions inside it. Most of them are cheap to make on paper and expensive to make on site.
So we start at the drawing. We work alongside your architect, or bring ours, and resolve the structure, the services and the finishes before anything is built. Engineering, council, certification and construction then run as one programme under one contract, through to handover.

Not a refresh. A house rebuilt from the structure out.
Walls removed. Ceilings raised. Layouts reconsidered from the front door. Services replaced entirely. The kind of renovation where the finished home has very little in common with the one you bought.
The difficulty in this work is rarely the building. It's everything wrapped around it, strata schemes and by-laws, body corporate approvals, structural engineering on a house that was never drawn, asbestos, and the ordinary reality of building inside a home that people still live above and below. We resolve those before they reach you.

Original character, brought forward.
A Victorian terrace or a Federation home has details that cannot be bought again, and a structure that was never drawn to a plan. Restoration is mostly the work of knowing which is which — what to protect, what to remake by hand, and what a previous decade added that was never worth keeping.
We work with heritage consultants and with trades who still do this properly: stone, lime plaster, joinery, leadlight. And we hold a settled view about the result. A restored home should read as its own period, and live as though it were built this year.
